Welcome to a new week!

Not only is today Taco Tuesday (which we LA-ers love), itā€™s my 3rd sonā€™s 20th birthday šŸ„³

20 years ago today, I was 20 and going through it. I just took my second ā€œleave of absenceā€ from USC (which led me to a 0.75 GPA), was in a psychologically abusive relationship, and just trying to keep my head up and above water.

I was so BROKE I couldnā€™t even afford film for my camera to take pic of my baby šŸ„¹

For the next several years, there were times Iā€™d wonder where our next meal would come from, how bills would get paid, and others I felt I couldnā€™t continue.

Friends/family counted me as a lost cause - A dream deferred. A waste of potential. All of the things nobody wants to be.

It hurt and I wasnā€™t happy. But I never doubted that Iā€™d make it out the mud because of the vision I was gifted. So, I did what I had to do - put my head down and do the WORK.

I became a serial entrepreneur, influencer, author, and unapologetically my best self.

My glimpse into the future was highkey the only thing that kept me going through the worst years Iā€™d love to forget. Because things werenā€™t looking so good for ya girl.

So, if you have a vision, hold on to it TIGHT. Donā€™t share with everyone. And take steps towards it every day. Just donā€™t give up, whatever you do. Becauseā€¦. the moment you quit is the second you lose.

ā€˜Til next time,

Keish.
